Okay, so I posted something. But I wasn't done yet because I have another story.
So last night I went out to the Itai to have a Moosehead, sausage on a bun and read the "Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell...because I heard rave reviews. Anyways, there's this old school rock band playing and they are having a jolly good time. Especially the piano solos which involved stumbling through a jazz scale intermingled with randomly mashing several keys and hoping they sound like chord....yeah, it's harsh but everyone was dancing so it worked.
So, I'm enraptured with the book, at the part where Gladwell discusses how a computer scientist actually tested the theory behind "6 degrees to Kevin Bacon" and found that the average degree to Kevin Bacon from any Hollywood actor is only 2.98352 (or something). Then...I look up and the 90 year old woman who walks up and down my street every day and attempted to help me lift a 1000 pound block of concrete with a stick is totally shaking a leg with some mid-40's fellow..
I had to drop the book and step in on the chump who was dancing with her...and we ended up dancing until after midnight. She told me I had good rhythm, which was nice, and she also invited Margo, the kids and I to her church's party and rummage sale the following day...dancing and rummage sales.
Needless to say, all that dancing made me want to post more dancing music...so here's what's on my i-pod for dancing whilst doing the dishes lately!
